Up for auction is a completely restored 1990 22 Activator with 44 hours on it. This boat was featured in Wave to Wave magazine and the restoration was documented on YouTube. The Activator brand is known for rough water capability and offshore racing, built in Long Island NY. Mark Schnepf, the founder of Activator, restored the boat.
With every part of the boat redone or brand new, you are buying as close to a new one as you can get. The transom, stringers, bulkheads and floor are all composite Coosa board. There is a 55 gallon SP Tanks custom aluminum fuel tank.
Features include Livorsi Vantage View Gauges, Livorsi wheel, SeaStar Gen 2 6" jack plate, Pro trim lever, BRP foot throttle with digital shift and control, Icon screen. SeaStar 2.0 helm. Engine has integrated hydraulic steering.
The boat was finished in a base / clear paint job using Porsche GT Silver Metallic and a black stripe. The hull is painted in white Awlgrip. Interior is a fully custom setup, with two deep buckets and a bench with cherry red marine upholstery. A custom Sunbrella cover is included.
Additionally, the boat has a custom Ameratrail Aluminum, 2018, C-channel tandem trailer.
With only 44 hours, the boat and engine are in excellent condition and washed, flushed after each use. Upon purchase, I can have an engine report printed out as well. The engine has a manufacturers warranty of 8 years, in service 2019. The engine runs perfectly, shows 44 hours on the dial. Featuring black panels and the integrated steering, the G2 is a 3.4 Liter engine with a 1.85:1 gear ratio. The Evinrude G2 powerful and efficient engine with digital shift and controls. No scratches or imperfections to report.
Here are some minor issues: The Livorsi water pressure and fuel gauge don't read, but the information is available on the Evinrude screen. And, a rear light was never installed, the wiring is all there but the light is not. The paint is in great condition with a few minor marks. One mark is near the bow eye where the trailer roller touches it. There is a scratch on the port side wind faring in the black paint, very minor and would probably polish out. There is a tiny chip on the starboard side near the bow, will show a picture, it's very tiny. A small scrape in the white Awlgrip near the front. Overall, it's 9/10.
Although not much time has been spent dialing it in, I would say there is a little bit too much setback, depending on how the boat will be used. The Evinrude has an additional 6" of setback built in because of the integrated steering system and the hull has a 7" notch, making the total setback 19".
With a 26" ProMax prop, top speed is 75 MPH at 5900 RPM, with a Raker HO 26", 76 MPH is the top speed. There is probably more there depending on prop and setup. This boat was built with rough water and durability in mind and it does not disappoint in that department. For a 22' boat the Activator is very forgiving and very capable.
The interior is in excellent shape with minor wear on the carpet, seats are near perfect. There is storage in the gunwales, and under the bow there is a floor area for stowage.
Deadrise: 22 degree
Warranty on Engine: 8 years (2019)
